Explainer Videos That Stayed With the Audience

This explainer video for internal communication was created to celebrate ten years of the Research Office at Universidad Católica de Chile. Instead of sending a report, they used a corporate explainer video to highlight key milestones, simplify important achievements, and make their message compelling for both internal and external audiences.

That is what a well-conceptualized explainer video does: narrative, voiceover, music, and animation working in interconnected layers to create something your audience not only understands but wants to watch.

Explainer Videos for Internal Communication: Message First, Animation Second

Your team knows their subject deeply. Translating that expertise into something clear and accessible for the rest of the organization is a different kind of work. I act as a translation bridge: I organize the content, find the narrative structure, and coordinate the layers of the video so your message lands clearly.

You bring the depth. I find the story inside it, and shape it into something your audience can follow, understand, and remember.

Seven Reports, One High-Impact Explainer Video

To communicate the findings of seven technical reports on measuring public climate expenditure, UNDP and Chile’s Ministry of Finance needed to reach diverse audiences clearly and effectively.

We started with a bilingual visual summary to organize the complexity and define the central narrative. Then we translated it into an explainer video for internal communication designed to deliver the key findings in a structured and accessible way.

The result was a resource that lives across multiple platforms: training sessions, international forums, and eight social media reels. This visual storytelling approach earned the project a nomination at the Chile Design Awards 2024.

“The experience of creating a video with Fran was remarkable in every way: engaging, challenging, collaborative with all our team members, innovative, and highly productive. The result is a video that truly simplifies, personalizes, and explains our system in an entertaining, precise, and accessible way, bringing the complexity behind it within everyone’s reach. Fran’s work was highly professional, she thoroughly understood the key concepts of our system and transformed them into something enjoyable and easy to understand. Additionally, throughout the process, she kept us constantly informed, listened to all our concerns and feedback, and met every deadline. In my experience, the response on social media has been very positive, helping us generate new contacts since the video’s release”.
